Hello and Welcome to The Dog Whisperer, here to help you and your dog. You to become leader of your pack and for him to recognise this & give you the respect you warrant through rules. discipline & boundaries. In return your canine will be a happy well balanced member of your pack giving you years of loyalty, respect, affection & friendship. Communicate with him always as a dog in his language & never be tempted to treat him as a human. Practice on a daily basis, & you will have a friend for life

use the leadership skills I teach you on a daily basis, because if you don’t there is always your canine waiting to step back straight into your shoes of leader demoting you back to follower. After all when have you ever seen a pack leader take the day off, and still be incharge the next day?? And remember he is not a human and doesn’t understand you as a human. Whether you say “I love you, you are beautiful, the best dog in the world” or “if you keep being naughty you will go to the dogs home and never come back, it is only the projection of the emotion that you are feeling that he/she will be reacting to and not the meaning of your words as we choose to believe. Ever remember when you have been feeling down, sad and crying, your wonderful canine companion comes to your aid snuggling up to you, sniffing you licking you as if to say “oh you poor thing I understand how unhappy you are let me comfort you and make you feel better? Well sadly as a human that’s what we would like to think is happening so we can feel better and is our own perception of things. The reality is, he sees life from a dogs point of view and to him, this as a sign of weakness and he is ready to step right back into your shoes of pack leader and be top dog again.

Remember he is a dog so treat him like dog and communicate with him as one, and you will end up with a lifetime of very good, loyal and indeed Bestfriend, to you and never let you down.
